Week 34 – Climbing Everest

Hope everyone is doing well and is safe and healthy. You ever have one of those weeks where things just don’t seem to go your way? We have been fortunate to have such a good stretch over the past several months. These have been challenging times that we’ve been experiencing so I am in no way complaining. This is just a matter of fact about how this week unfolded. I equate it to climbing a tall mountain like Everest. Just when you think you are heading to the peak, there is always something there to make the trek very treacherous so that you have to slow down or forces you to move back down the mountain to regroup before beginning the ascent again. Sometimes, it takes the wind out of your sai

Week 33 – Summah is Almost Ovah!

Hope everyone is doing well and is safe and healthy. You may be thinking that my spellcheck is broken but I figured I would pay a little homage to my home state. Sometimes I even catch myself speaking like this. As I was thinking about the blog’s title and I said it out loud (which for those of you not from Massachusetts who read the blog, this statement translates into “summer is almost over”), I realize that I really am from Massachusetts. Not sure why I have this accent but I sure have come to embrace it over the years when people love to guess where I am from. But I digress. This week, like the last several weeks, has flown by which means summer is drawing ever so much closer to the end.

Week 32 – The First “Cat is Finally Out of the Bag!”

Hope everyone is doing well and is safe and healthy. This week has flown by. We spent some time getting ready to release this past Wednesday’s news announcement. In case you missed the big news, here is the link. This agreement has been in the works for some time. Unlike BioSurfaces, which is small and nimble, larger companies have more processes that have to be conducted. The initial discussions with Corning actually started last November with Jacki and Allyson (District and Local Account Representatives, respectively) to introduce them to our technology that we were working on for investigators at the National Institutes of Health. This quickly led to a meeting with Lynsey (Segment Directo

Week 31 – Coming Soon!

Hope everyone is doing well and is safe and healthy. Have you ever felt like you are just shuffling along? Even though you are making progress, it never seems like you will ever get to the end. Like walking through deep sand on the beach or watching the opening credits before a movie starts. I love this clip from the Family Guy that Cam showed me some time ago. This really nails home the point that sometimes you have to wait for good things. Over the past few months, we have continued to move forward on several business fronts, but nothing is ever as fast as you want it to happen. Over the past several weeks, I have been letting you know that some announcements from BioSurfaces were coming “
