Spotlight on BioSurfaces In Vitro Research Tools [Monthly Spin-Off #14]

At BioSurfaces, innovation doesn’t stop at developing next-generation medical devices—it spins into new territories that can transform how researchers approach science. One of our most exciting and rapidly growing areas is our In Vitro Research Tools (IVRT) business, and it's gaining serious traction.

The IVRT platform leverages our proprietary Bio-Spun™ nanofiber scaffolding to create advanced 3D culture environments that better mimic in vivo conditions. Unlike traditional flat plastic surfaces, our scaffolds provide a biologically relevant architecture that supports more accurate cell behavior and functionality. This means better data, faster decisions, and more predictive outcomes for research and preclinical development.

Why does this matter? Scientists using our plates and scaffolds are seeing improved results in everything from toxicology screening and drug discovery to tissue modeling and cell therapy development. Our scaffolds have already demonstrated material integration in in vivo settings, which puts our tools in a league of their own—bridging the gap between benchtop research and real-world clinical translation.

In the past quarter, we’ve made key strides:

🔹 Onboarded new academic and industry customers

🔹 Partnered with leading distributors to broaden our reach

🔹 Launched targeted marketing campaigns to accelerate adoption

The momentum is building, and we’re just getting started. As more researchers realize the limitations of traditional culture systems, BioSurfaces’ IVRT platform is poised to be the go-to solution for forward-thinking labs worldwide.

Stay tuned—we’ve got more breakthroughs on the horizon.
